PROJECTS
TEX IS MORE is active in multiple domains of applications and we are always interested to join you for unexplored experiences.
Project themes are grouped around certain topics which have strategically been defined based on current trends and specific needs from industry or consumers.
Of course this list of applications is not complete nor exhaustive.
Sustainabilty - circular economy
Needless to illustrate the importance of this domain of expertise. If you do not think and act sustainably you'll be out soon.
TEX IS MORE offers multidisciplinary experience in sustainability and circularity.
A project can have a dedicated focus on these themes but regardless of the focus, sustainability and circular economy are always at the core of any solution we bring to market.
Smart textiles
There's different perceptions of what is called smart textiles.
Whether it is miniaturized electronics (a.o. sensors) that renders a textile smart or the textile itself acting as the sensor (by using conductive textile elements), whether it is green chemistry rendering a textile smart or even its basic mechanical construction, smart textiles surely are at the core of TEX IS MORE.
Hygiene
With covid having dominated our lives over the last couple of years, hygiene is the number one concern and focus of consumers. Hence, it's no surprise we are focusing on breakthrough innovations that create a healthy and clean environment.
TEX IS MORE's consortium partners possess knowledge and resulting IP related a.o. to bio-active materials, in the field of virology and medical microbiology, the microbiome of humans, just to name a few.
Health & Wellbeing
Functional textiles largely contribute to the health & well-being of humans and animals.
As a consequence of the corona pandemic, these themes have become paramount for people around the world.
Animal care
As our mission states, TEX IS MORE is a catalyst for textile innovations that benefit humans, animals and nature. Based on dedicated experience some projects relate to the health of and care for horses.
More in general, care for any animal is of interest just like protecting them. One would be surprised how textiles can contribute to this.
Sleep
Just like food, drinks and love, sleep belongs to the basic needs of human kind. The extra attention in on- and offline media only confirms the importance of a good night's rest and sleep.
A lot of drivers to get a better sleep are under research. Also textiles largely contribute to a healthy environment and can even functionally enhance sleep.
Just consider how much textiles are around you when sleeping: pajamas, bed sheets, duvets, mattress ticking, textiles for the bed base and headboard and even from a larger perspective curtains, carpets,…
Add to that the given that we all spend average-wise one third of our lives sleeping (at least that's what we should do), then you realize what impact functional textiles can have on our sleep and resulting health in general.
TEX IS MORE is launching several projects dedicated to comfort
